a winter poem- unknown

its winter in north dakota
and the gentle breezes blow
seventy miles an hour
at thirty five below

oh how i love north dakota
when the snows up to your butt
you take a breath of winter
and your nose gets frozen shut

yes the weather here is wonderful
so i guess i'll hang around
i could never leave north dakota
i'm frozen to the ground!!!!!

AGAIN?!?!?!?!!

Yet again I managed to get stuck going less then 10 miles an hour....am i the only one with this issue???? once in the morning after work i really thought i was going to walk and then all of the sudden i was out...like it never even happened. whatever its time for bed.

i got all the was to work and was turning the corner into the parking lot....black ice....SOB stuck in a pile of snow/ice. you have got to be kidding me!?!?!?!?! i can see the door to my guard shack and now i am stuck. well Jack from the company my mom works for pulls up jumps out with his shovel and wastes no time! i get out to try to do something....

Jack" you get back in that there car lil missy you are going to catch your death of cold out here in this weather with out a coat on" thick southern accent.

what Jack doesnt realize is that it is 36 degrees out thats practically a heat wave....sad i know. if i were wearing the coat which is my car i might die of over heating... i laugh. he has never seen anything like this down south. no wonder why he is bundled up like an eskimo headed out to spend a weeked camping in the snow hills. LOL you would think it were 45 below when Jack is talking about it. well i get out and thank Jack....such a nice guy.

i have now decided getting stuck or semi stuck is just a normal part of my daily commute!!!!

winter in ND

so this has been the most eventful season ever!!!!! went to cali for christmas return to 14 inches of snow. i get a ticket for supposively driving thru a stop sign because i slid on the ice.....20 buck big deal i drive home and my drive way is completely drifted shut. tried to go thru.....wasnt happening car got stuck. its 11 oclock at night i want to go to bed so i carry all my bag thru the snow which is in some spots 2 feet deep....great night. next day i really need to get to work so i try to dig myself out. not happening. if there was some one to help push this would be soooo much easier

BRILLIANT IDEA

i pulled the seat all the way forward and took the ice scraper brush and put it againt the gas peddle with the car in reverse....this better work....jump out and go to the front of the car and start pushing....i think it is working but i cant really tell....instantly i am in face down in the snow....IT WORKED......my joy is immediately shatter by O SHIT !!!!MY CAR IS GOING DOWN THE DRIVE WITH OUT ME!!!!!! got my car and got to work.

not too happy to be at work on new years eve....o well. i ended up in the ditch with the company vehicle ( a trail blazer with 4 wheel drive so that i wont end up in the ditch how ironic) waited about 20 minutes for some one to come pull me out....i hate this state.

well about 2 weeks later and calling my neighbor 2 times to open the road up i decide i am not going to call and just try to go thru....doesnt look too deep.....yet again i was wrong. it was.....stuck again.....get the shovel...its not working

well my crazy idea worked once why not again....seat forward....gas peddle down...this time in drive.. i open the door and start pushing against the frame.......car starts moving jump in and keep going not going to risk getting stuck again...


now on a night with no snow it got so windy a snow drift about 3 feet deep blows over the road to my house. well before i can see this glorious drift i am already in it... and no lil ice scraper trick is going to get me out of this one. i am 1/4 mile from the house....so i walk.... i wake up to my car in the drive way???? dad and cousin leeroy took care of it.

Later i find out leeroys girlfriend thought she could make it thru....even tho she saw my car was obviously very stuck....she is very naive i think...her car is lower and worse in the snow then mine. but she tried any way now at the top of the hill there are 2 cars stuck in the snow...and she had to walk back to her house lol . what a freaking nut case.

now keep in mind i work from 6pm to 6am so when i get stuck i am pretty much on my own people are either at work or fast asleep in there beds....and i still have 2 more months of this shit!!!!

this is why we should all move and just blow up ND!!!!

just some random thoughts

i find it funny how you feel like you can just walk into my life when ever you see fit. you come in like a storm and leave nothing but destruction. and i know this but still ever time you call i am there. i am always there. i always have you your back. have you ever had mine??? i defend me time and time again. have you defended me?
