I live in North Dakota. I use to live in Michigan. I never planned on being here more than a year. In the almost 4 years of my residency I have learned some things. Let me share some info with you about my two homes.
· If your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March, you might live in Michigan.
In North Dakota, they are open year round and serve hamburgers and flieschkeklha.
· In Michigan you measure distance in hours, and give direction in left and right. north Dakota is always by miles and north or south.
· In Michigan you know what a yooper is, in north Dakota you know how to say lefse.
· In michigan You understand that when visiting Detroit, the best thing to wear is a Kevlar vest. In north Dakota you never leave the house without a round in the chamber.
· In Michigan it can take 2 hours to go three miles on i-75 if there is a large accident during rush hour, in north Dakota 4 cars is rush hour and people cannot function.
· In Michigan you have a baaaaggg and in north Dakota it’s a bawg.
· In Michigan you say sure thing or no problem in north Dakota its you betcha.
· In Michigan we have no accents. In north dakota they really sound like the movie fargo.
